Many Congratulations Elaine

It was Northumberland's turn to choose the next President of the Northern Counties VLGA and who better to select than Elaine Elliott of Whitley Bay GC.
This is a position which comes round only once every 12 years as each Northern President holds the role for 2 years.

Elaine is so well qualified for the role - having played golf at both County and Vets levels for many years.
She became Northumberland County Champion in 1975, 1978 and 1981. Then as soon as she was eligible for our Vets team became Champion in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2015!

She was also selected eight times to play for the Northern Jamboree team. In that time she was on the winning team twice - succeeding, with her team, in winning the Miller Stirling Trophy.

An expert at all things golf both on and off the course!

Elaine became Northumberland County Captain in 2000 and President 2021-23. In between she was Northumberland County Vets Captain for 2017.
She was selected to be Captain of the Northern Counties for 2013 and was part of the winning Northern team both during her Captaincy and whilst she was Vice Captain.

A perfect fit for the role!

We are delighted Elaine accepted the position and know she will be the best ambassador for Northumberland.
