Our annual practice match with the Hexham Reivers

A lovely day played in good spirits

We are now nearing the end of our practice matches against our generous Senior men.
Each year they support us and help with our preparation for the year ahead and for our matches against the other Northern Counties.
This support is very much appreciated and does indeed help us to get our matchplay heads on together with our natural competitive spirit.

A report on the day from your Captain, Helen

It was a nice morning at Hexham for our annual match with the Border Reivers.

We played Stableford matchplay with ladies playing off red tees and men off yellows.
This is always a tough match but this time we almost made it. 6 very well fought matches resulted in a 3.5 to 2.5 win for the men.

We were well looked after

The course was in fantastic condition and we were treated to soup and sandwiches after play for which I thank the Reivers for their great hospitality.

2 more practice matches remain before the season starts in earnest with the Championships at Arcot Hall on the 6th of May. Entries close next week so remember to get those entries submitted.
