Congratulations, Janet

Following a meeting Of the Captain's Selection Committee we are delighted to announce that Janet Purdy of Hexham Golf Club has accepted the position of become our Vice Captain for 2026-27.

A little bit about Janet

Janet played competitive hockey and tennis before joining Hexham Golf Club in 1984, she has been a member there ever since.

Over the years Janet has held a number of positions at Hexham GC, such as Handicap Secretary, Ladies Secretary and member of Club Council. She was honoured to be Lady Captain in 2018 when Hexham hosted the County Vets Jamboree.

Janet has just completed her three year term on the Vets Committee and has represented the association playing several times in the Bronze Team matches.
